Open an alpana bordered template, write your biyer card in Bengali script, and export it for the press or for WhatsApp.
The studio ships Bengali fonts including Anek Bangla, Hind Siliguri, Baloo Da 2, Galada, Atma and Mina, so juktakkhor like ক্ষ, ঙ্গ and ন্দ render correctly.
Bengali script is where most online card makers give up. Conjuncts split apart, the matra floats, and শুভ বিবাহ comes out looking like a ransom note. Bitgrain carries proper Bangla typefaces, and the templates here were built with Bengali text from the start.
Bengali wedding cards have a recognisable rhythm. At the top sits প্রজাপতয়ে নমঃ, often with a small butterfly, because Prajapati is the old guardian of marriages. Below it comes শুভ বিবাহ or শুভ পরিণয়, and then the invitation, traditionally written by the কন্যাকর্তা, the bride's father or guardian.
The body names the couple and their parents, for example the bride as শ্রীমতী রূপা and the groom as শ্রীমান অনির্বাণ, with each family's home town. Many cards then ask guests to attend সবান্ধবে, with friends and family.
Then the dates. Bengali families usually give the Bengali date, like ২০ অগ্রহায়ণ, beside the English date, and the লগ্ন time for the ceremony. The card closes with বিনীত and the names of the family members sending it.
A Bengali wedding is several events, and many families print or send separate cards. The ashirbad and gaye holud are usually for close family. The biye itself is at the bride's side, and the boubhat, the reception at the groom's home, often has its own invitation from the groom's family.
If you put several events on one card, give each its own line with day, date and time. If you send separate cards, keep the same template and colours so they read as a set, and change only the heading and the details.
Red, white and gold are the classic combination, drawn from the লাল পাড় সাদা শাড়ি and the shankha pola. Alpana borders, the white rice paste patterns drawn on floors, frame the page beautifully and do not compete with the type.
If the couple prefers something quieter, a cream ground with a single red alpana corner and black type looks modern and still unmistakably Bengali.
Printed cards are commonly 5 by 7 inches or 6 by 8 inches, sometimes folded with an envelope. Leave space at the edges because cards are trimmed after printing, and export a PDF for the press.
For WhatsApp, the Rupa and Anirban template is already a tall 1080 by 1920 e-invite that fills the screen. A 1080 by 1350 portrait looks more like a card in the chat. If the Bangla text looks soft after sending, send the image as a document so it is not compressed.
Type with a Bengali keyboard, such as Gboard with Bangla or the Bengali input on Windows and macOS, or paste text from Avro or any document. Bitgrain does not convert English letters to Bangla for you.
Yes. You can open and edit every template on the free plan. Free exports carry a small watermark and are capped at 1080 pixels, fine for WhatsApp. Pro exports at full resolution for printing.
Anek Bangla, Hind Siliguri, Baloo Da 2, Galada, Atma and Mina. Galada and Atma are decorative and suit headings, while Anek Bangla and Hind Siliguri are calm enough for the details.
Yes. Avro produces standard Unicode Bengali, which pastes straight into any text box in the studio.
No. Bitgrain has no generative AI. You edit a layered template yourself.
