Picsart Alternatives for People Who Are Tired of AI Everything

Picsart has become an AI media platform. If you just want to edit photos and make graphics without generated content, credits and model menus, these are the alternatives worth trying in 2026.

Picsart started as a photo editor with stickers and filters. In 2026 it describes itself as an AI media production platform. Its pricing page sells access to third-party AI image and video models, and the top plan advertises more than 200 of them.

That's useful if you want to generate content. If you just want to edit a photo and make a nice graphic, it can feel like the tool has moved away from you.

Here are alternatives that are mostly or entirely about editing, not generating.

What Picsart costs now

From Picsart's pricing page, October 2026:

The alternatives

VSCO (phone)

VSCO is still one of the best apps for film-style presets on a phone. Plans run from free to $59.99 a year for Pro. Note that VSCO has also added generative features in its paid plans, so it isn't AI-free.

Photopea (browser, free)

A Photoshop-style editor that runs in a browser and opens PSD files. Free to use, with an optional $5 a month Premium. Great for edits and compositing, less so for quick templated graphics.

Procreate (iPad, one-time)

If you draw, Procreate is $12.99 once and has pledged no generative AI. Not a photo editor, but many Picsart users really wanted a drawing app.

Bitgrain (browser, no AI)

I've been building Bitgrain as the opposite of an AI platform. There are no models in it at all.

What it has that Picsart users usually look for:

What it doesn't have: stickers, a stock library, background removal or one-tap beauty filters. It's for people who want to make something themselves.

It works on a phone browser for the photo editor and quick template edits. The video editor is desktop only.

Pricing: free with no time limit (web-resolution exports, small watermark), or Pro at $6.99 a month or $129 once for ten years.

Signs a tool is turning into an AI platform

If you're choosing a new app, look for:

None of that is bad in itself. But if you want an editor, choose a company whose roadmap is about editing.
