Layers and Shapes
Everything in the Studio is a layer. You can add, move, and group these layers to build your design.
Adding Content
In the center bar at the bottom, you have your main buttons:
- Add Text: Places a new text block on your canvas.
- Add Shape: Pick from rectangles, circles, triangles, diamonds, stars, polygons, lines, arrows, and frames.
- Add Image: Lets you upload a photo to use in your design.
- Vector Pen: Draw your own bezier paths with full control over each point. You can even fill a vector shape with an image.
- Ink Brush: Draw freehand with a pressure sensitive brush, made for a stylus or Apple Pencil.
Generative Patterns
Turn any group into a living pattern. Choose from checkerboard, grid, stripes, hex, mandala, or kaleidoscope, and tune it live. The pattern stays editable, so you can keep adjusting it after you place it.
Working with Layers
When you select a layer on the canvas, you can do several things:
- Move: Click and drag the layer to change its position.
- Resize: Click and drag the small boxes on the corners of the layer.
- Delete: Click the trash can icon in the sidebar or press your Delete key.
- Group: If you select more than one layer, you can click the Group button. This sticks them together so you can move them as one single piece.
Alignment
In the right panel, there are tools to help you line things up perfectly. You can snap a layer to the left, right, top, bottom, or center of your canvas with one click. If you have multiple layers selected, these tools will line them up with each other instead.
