Exporting and Saving

Once you have finished your design, Bitgrain makes it easy to save your work in high quality for print or social media.

Export Options

Click the Export button in the top right corner of the Studio to open the export menu. You can choose from several formats:

Multi-page Documents

If your project has more than one page, you can export them as separate files, bundled into a single ZIP, or combined into one multi-page PDF. The PDF option is handy for zines, decks, and anything meant to be read in order.

Resolution

By default, the Studio exports at 1x resolution (exactly what you see on the canvas). However, you can choose to export at 2x or 4x if you need a higher resolution for printing or high-DPI screens.

> [!NOTE] > High-resolution exports might take a few seconds to process if your design has many complex layers or high-resolution images.

Project Files

You can also save your work as a .btg (Bitgrain) file. This saves all your layers, fonts, and images so you can come back and edit them later.

Direct Sharing

If you want to quickly show someone your work, you can use the Copy to Clipboard button. This copies a high-quality version of your canvas as an image that you can paste directly into Slack, Discord, or any other app.
