Canva Pro Price in 2026: What You Pay, What You Get, and Cheaper Options
What Canva Pro costs in 2026, what changed in the last year, which features actually need Pro, and cheaper or one-time alternatives for people who mostly make posters and social graphics.
Canva's prices have moved a lot in the last two years. If your renewal email surprised you, here's what you're paying for now and whether you need it.
Prices below are from Canva's pricing page as of October 2026, in US dollars. Canva shows different prices by country, so check yours.
What Canva costs now
- Free: $0.
- Pro: $144 a year for one person.
- Business (what used to be Teams): $250 a year per person.
- Enterprise: custom pricing.
How that changed
- 2024: Teams moved to per-seat pricing with a three-seat minimum. Some small teams saw their bill jump from about $120 a year to $500 a year, as Fortune reported.
- 2025: Pro was $120 a year and Business $200.
- 2026: Pro went to $144 (+20%) and Business to $250 (+25%).
Canva has tied most of these increases to its AI features.
What you actually get with Pro
The features people pay for most often:
- Transparent PNG and SVG export. Free can't do either.
- CMYK print export. Free exports print PDFs in RGB only.
- Background remover and Magic resize.
- The premium template and stock library.
- Brand kits.
- More AI. Free gets 20 AI uses a month. Pro gets 200 premium uses.
- Video up to 4K and longer exports. Free tops out at 1080p.
Do you need Pro?
Ask yourself which of these you used last month:
- If it's mostly the AI features and stock library, Pro is probably worth it for you.
- If it's mostly transparent PNGs, SVGs and print PDFs, you're paying $144 a year for export options. Plenty of tools give you those for less.
- If it's mostly posters, covers and social graphics you design yourself, you may not need Canva at all.
Cheaper options, by what you make
Social posts and quick graphics
- Canva Free is still fine if you don't need transparency or SVG.
- Adobe Express Premium is $9.99 a month. It's built heavily around Firefly AI.
Logos and vector work
- Inkscape is free and exports SVG.
- Affinity is free (it's also owned by Canva now), with AI features behind a paid Canva plan.
Posters, covers, flyers and zines
This is what Bitgrain is built for. The pricing is simpler:
- Free, with no time limit: every effect, every template and the whole studio, with unlimited exports at web resolution (up to 1500px) and a small watermark.
- Pro: $6.99 a month, or $129 once for ten years. Pro removes the watermark and unlocks full resolution, SVG, HDR, 4K video and batch export.
In India it's ₹299 a month or ₹4999 once. All prices are on the pricing page.
Over ten years, Canva Pro at today's price is $1,440. Bitgrain's one-time licence is $129. That said, they aren't the same product. Canva has a much bigger template and stock library and team features. Bitgrain has no generative AI, no collaboration, and puts print effects like dithering, halftone and riso at the centre. If your work is mostly layouts with stock photos, Canva is the better fit. If it's your own photos turned into posters and covers, Bitgrain costs a lot less.
Before you downgrade
If you decide to drop Pro, export your SVGs, transparent PNGs and CMYK PDFs before the plan ends. Those options disappear on Free. Our guide to leaving Canva without losing your designs walks through the rest.
