Elements library

The elements library is a collection of ready-made graphics, such as borders, corners, motifs and dividers, that you can drop onto any Studio page. This page covers browsing and searching the library, adding elements, recoloring them to match your design, and editing them.

Every element is built from ordinary Studio layers, not a flat picture. It arrives as a group of shapes and vector paths, so it stays sharp at any export size and every piece can be recolored, moved or deleted like the rest of your design.

Opening the library

Click the Elements library tab at the top of the editor's left panel, between Layers and Templates. See the left panel.

Browsing collections

With no search or filter, the library shows its collections one after another. Each collection has:

Inside a collection, All elements at the top takes you back to the full list.

If the library has nothing to show yet, it says The library is being drawn.

Searching and filtering

The kinds are All, Borders, Corners, Motifs, Dividers, Frames, Patterns and Scenes.

Results appear as a grid, with very wide elements taking a full row. Click Show more at the end of the grid to load more. If nothing matches, the library suggests trying a motif like lotus, wave or star, or clearing the filter.

Adding an element

There are two ways to add one. Hover an element to see its name.

Elements are sized to suit the page:

The element arrives as one group named after it, already selected, so you can move, resize or rotate it straight away. Cmd / Ctrl + Z takes it off again. If an element can't be loaded, you see Element unavailable and can try again in a moment.

Recoloring an element

Select the element's group. The right panel shows a Colours in this group section with one color picker for every color used inside the group, up to 12 at a time. Change one and every piece in that color changes with it.

Match page colours recolors the element from the colors already on the page. The darkest color in the element takes the darkest color on the page, the lightest takes the lightest, and the ones in between are spread across the rest. It looks at the other layers on the page, not the page background, so it needs at least two colors on the page, besides the background, before the button works.

Tip: Undo straight after Match page colours if the result is not right, then adjust single colors by hand.

The same section appears for any group you select, apart from generated patterns, so you can use it to recolor your own grouped artwork too.

Editing an element

An element is a normal group, so everything in layers applies.
