Every keyboard shortcut and mouse modifier in the Bitgrain video editor, grouped by what you are doing. Press ? in the editor to see the built-in shortcut overlay at any time.
On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl wherever this page says Cmd. The editor accepts either key on every platform.
Shortcuts are paused while you are typing in a text field, such as the text box of a title, a number field or the project name, so you can type freely without triggering edits.

B, snapping is S. The Split button and the quick keys list in the empty inspector both show B.Esc works in steps. The first press closes an open overlay or clears the selection, so a stray press never throws away what you picked. Press it again with nothing selected to go back to your projects. Your work is autosaved.
